Last year I had the opportunity to meet several great artists during FIQ 2011, and it struck me that many of them did something I always knew was important but never had the discipline to do: keep sketchbooks. Seeing the drawings on the sketchbooks of Bill Sienkiewicz and Rafael Grampá, and watching Jill Thompson and Olivier Martin relentlessly draw and even watercolor during the festival made me really inspired to start doing this, which is a basic and essential tool for anyone who is even slightly serious about drawing and making comics.

I hope this blog will help me keep the focus.
